Yet another birthday, CRAP

SO, it was my birthday yesterday, January 13 (well, since its past midnight for me..it was yesterday).

It was -25C with a wind chill to -33C - so typical for my birthday.  I had a call from each of my family members & my BFF.  I also got a ton of notes on Facebook - fun times!

I was able to have some time to organize photos & work on some things for scrapbooking (while PJ was at school & napping) - so all and all - it was a good day.

If there was just a way to stop this aging part of it, everything would be peachy!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Would you miss a toe ?

I'm pretty sure that I have broken yet ANOTHER toe!  Unbelievable!  How come I keep kicking my feet into things?  I've got them taped together, but its throbbing & since this is probably my 4th (at least) broken toe, I'm pretty familiar with the pain...so its broken.

The last time I broke a toe it was May 2009...so at least its been almost 2 years.

Christmas Day Family Photos - 2010

We didn't bother with our Christmas PJ's again this year because I knew the tot would object and I'd rather just get the photo and no hassle!  He cooperates well for the group shot because he likes watching the light & the camera beeping to countdown...I'm thankful for that!

Why is he always after my hair?!

Why do I always ruin a perfectly good photo with a stupid facial expression?!

Christmas Dinner - 2010

My family left around 2ish so they could start the turkey (and so PJ could have his nap).  Once he was awake, we packed up and went to my parent's place - Here's their tree:

The table looked fantastic with its blue & silver table runner.  We all had our Christmas cracker and put on our silly hats.  It wouldn't be Christmas without it.  PJ managed to keep his on long enough for a photo...but it took alot of tries to get the photo taken before he pulled it off.  The food was fantastic - turkey, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, carrots, brussel sprouts etc!

My brother doesn't come to visit very often, so PJ is a little afraid of him (but knows who he is and can name him in photos).  After a long LONG time of trying not to approach PJ, Dean started playing peek-a-boo with him and chasing him down the hallway - finally, Uncle Dean is fun...just when its time to leave (and for him to go back to his city).

It was a busy day...and I didn't get to rest the next day...it was Boxing Day!  A date to be at West Edm Mall form 9 am to 5 pm.  I only purchased a couple of pairs of jeans and maybe 2 tops...so not the best haul...I remember having so many clothes that it all barely fit into the trunk...not so much, this year.  My feet were sore.

The following day, Dec 27, was our annual Scrapbook day!  We had a great time (Miriam, Jocelynne, Colleen & I).  We've moved to a new shop which is closer for all of us to get too...so that was fun too!

Christmas Day - 2010

Here's the tree with all the gifts underneath - Santa was a busy boy!

PJ was very excited to see the train all setup and ready to play with.  Santa is so smart, bringing him a train!

We managed to get him away from the train long enough to get dressed & then move onto his Santa Stocking.

While we were waiting for my parents, Dean &Tanya to arrive, we moved upstairs to work on the gifts under the tree.

We also had lunch and then relaxed for a bit.

Transition between scrapbook albums

Someone on the circle message board was wondering about a way to distinguish between albums by looking at the front page.  I had done something like this for my Cruise/Universal studios/Disneyland albums:

The 1st page of the 1st album looks like this - indicates what's in the album plus shows some pictures of things  you'll see in the album:

At the last page of this album, I mention what is is the 2nd album;

For the 2nd album, this is the cover page:

It was a great way to use up a lot of photos that wouldn't otherwise get into the album.

My very 1st album was done in 1998 way back when scrapbooking was just starting and there was no such thing as a cricut...and even though I'm a very basic/plain scrapbooker now...it was nothing to how plain/boring my pages were back then.  Anyway, my 1st album was actually 3 albums  - for a trip to Australia.  I used transition pages at the back of each album to show what was in the next one...here are they are:

At the end of the 1st book - see pretty basic.  It does show a picture for main sights that would be scrapbooked in the next album.  I (poorly) hand wrote what each thing was:
