We took a few days and went to Calgary...this was his first time in a long trip in the car (not long, it was only 3 hr drive) and the first time in a hotel. Loving the green with the brown.
Road Trip & Motel sign are from Summer Vacation
'to' is from Street sign
Calgary is from Mickey Font
Heart is just a stamp that I hand cut, same as the brown banner

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Capital Ex
We went to try out our local exhibition, which used to be called Capital Ex. This is a boring page but I included it because of the ferris wheel.
The ferris wheel was from Summer Vacation, which I cut in 3 different colours...then I left the white one in-tact and cut the blue piece to attach and I believe I ended up colouring the red ring...but I might have cut it...can't remember..
The heading is from Carousel. For some reason, I had a hard time gluing these pieces to look right. Easy and makes total sense when in CCR, but once cut, it really hurt my brain.
I guess I forgot to photograph the 2nd page...oops, that's where the journaling is.

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Ready Set Play
Had some friends over to play in our backyard one afternoon - the kids all had a great time.
The title is from Boys Will Be Boys
The play structure is from Fast Food and I attempted some highlighting of the colours with my copics
I believe I made the grass with Martha Stewart's scissors

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Bath Time
Another one where everything was cut using plain white card stock and then I coloured...might have been with chalk though...can't remember.
I started with a few clouds and then welded them together. Then i cut out a variety of water drops and tucked them here and there all over the page.
Clouds from Artiste and Noah's ABC Animals
Water drops from Noah's ABC Animals
Winnie the Pooh from Pooh Font Set
I have no idea where the heading is from - I'm often using more than 1 font, if I don't like the capital letter on one, but like the lower case.

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Swinging Time
Another basic layout - I believe this one uses Lyrical Letters. SEE....way too many photos
There is a funny story talked about in this photo. PJ loved to 'fly' and be on his stomach being swung. He also wasn't really realizing that he had to HANG ON to the hanging part when being pushed on a swing - nothing that even occurred to him...or to GJA to remind or teach him about. I was in the kitchen watching them swing and then I saw him go FLYING off the swing and did a face plant into the grass. No injuries and he quickly learned to hold on with both hands!

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Water Park
End of school field trip to a local Spray Park. As you can see, he wasn't impressed with the water or the sound of the water landing on the ground.
H2O cart was used for the Water Park and All West titles and little dude. I think the scalloped square is from Elegant Edges.
For the headings, I cut hem with white and coloured them with copies because they were too thin to cut with my stash of heavy Bazzill paper. I believe the colour parts of the dud are also hand coloured. The boy body must be with coloured card stock though.

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 You and Me
Just a few photos of my cutie pie and me - very basic but at the time, I was just finishing this scrapbook and just wanted to slap these photos in before they got lost.
YOU and ME title and "laugh" are from Small talk frames and tags
My sunshine is from Artbooking.

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 You Did It
He spent a lot of the summer trying to climb up this climbing wall on his play structure in the back yard. It took a lot of motor planning and practicing and me placing his foot on each rock, for him to figure out what he was supposed to do. He was so excited when he finally did it all on his own!
You did it is from Phrases.
Way to Go is from George.

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Let's Hang Out
Here's another layout with DS enjoying the play structure in our backyard.
I believe the monkey is from Animal Kingdom, as well as the vine and title. I recall welding extra copies of the vine together to make it longer. This layout was also done with paper from my stash...I could make pages every day for the rest of my life and never use up all of the stash.

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 School
First day of 4 yr old Preschool - he was pretty excited this time because it was his 2nd year going to school. Same school, same teacher - fun!
I used Artbooking for most of this page - for the ruler (I welded the 2 pieces together), apple and heading. The 'preschool' banner was from the digital K-12 set.
Not sure why, but this is one of my favourite layouts

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Family Photo Shoot
We walked around our neighbourhood in the fall to take a photo for Christmas cards and these are some of the shots we got. PJ was being silly and was killing himself laughing at me running to and from the camera and setting the timer. One of our favourite photos is of him pulling my hair and GJA laughing at me screaming in shock because my 'loving' child was pulling my hair.
The word "FUN" I think is from Fontopia
"Family Photo" is from Library Font
The "my favorite photos" banners are from Artbooking.

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Daddy's Shoes
I thought it was so cute that he finally tried to walk around in GJA's slippers
The stars are just basic stars (probably from George) and I just cut them in many sizes on different colours of paper.
The heading was from Art Philosophy

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 School is COOL
These are various photos from his 1st year in preschool.
The two embellishments I believe are from Locker Talk. A pretty basic and boring layout. All the layouts from 2010 and onward are all made from items in my stash. I am posting this in 2015 and I am still using my stash (this layout was made in 2013, I just found a pile of un-posted layouts)

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 You will not see me & 2010 Sing-a-Long
Not the most exciting layout...but its all about getting done 2010 photos!!!! He liked to sit in the dryer...thankfully he only did it when I was around to make sure he didn't get stuck in there. No clue where the font is from...
This is the end of 1st year of pre-school presentation - they were all to sing (and they did about 10 songs)...he didn't sing, but he enjoyed the music as his classmates sang. I believe the title is from Locker Talk...but it might be quarter note.

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Garden Fun
This was our last session of Kindermusik and the kids investigated Kathleen's beautiful backyard garden.
All of the paper is from imagine cartridges, including the tree. I had cut the tree's leaves out a few times so I could have a variety of leaves to use to stick onto the tree.
Pop-dots are used here and there on the first page, but not on the tree on the 2nd page. I think the tree is from enjoy the seasons. No clue where the sign and words are from...I did ink the sign so it wasn't stark white....as well as inking and/or using copics to alter the other die cuts (including each individual leaf).

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Kissing Bandit
He was Mr Kisser that year...wanted to kiss and hug all his friends....
The background paper is an imagine paper (I believe its vintage damask). I don't remember where the titles are from, nor the scalloped circle OR the hearts...pathetic! I did put Martha Stewart glitter on the hearts and they are popped up.

Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Sharp Dressed Man
These are just a bunch of cute photos of kiddo with different outfits he wore over the year.
This one also has imagine patterns (the title and arrow is flood filled from nursery tails) and I know the background paper is also from an imagine cartridge which might be Vintage Damask...why can't I remember....
For some reason, I think the font is from Boys will be Boys (or whatever its called...see...pathetic)
