Scrapbook Layout - 2010 Halloween

These are photos from school and home during Halloween.

The title on the 1st page is from Happy Hauntings (I think) and the spiders on the bottom are welded and are from TC Chic and Scary

Pretty sure that all the cuts are from the Teresa Collins Chic and Scary cart

Scrapbook Layout - 2009 Monster Mash

I went Halloween crazy for 2009 - not sure why...I guess I wanted to use the photo of GJA and I in our costumes and it didn't really go well with the photos from the Halloween party that PJ attended.  SEE the Gruesome Halloween Page for 2009 here.

As always, its a 2-page spread and has lots of photos - but, really, there are fewer photos than I normally have on a page.  I lived on the edge and used this bright paper - buts its very Halloween.  I look at it now and I kind of wish I had put something more between the photos and the paper (other than the matting of the photos)....oh well - one day I'll be a better scrapbooker.

The fonts are from Happy Haunting - and maybe, it could just be a set phrase from that cartridge - silly me, I can't remember.

What I really wanted to do was make these little ghouls!  The skeleton is from PDDU and the other 3 are from Happy Hauntings!  They were fun to make.  I used glossy accents on the skeleton (which you can't see in the photo - but he's nice and glossy).  I used copics to give a bit of dimension to the mummy's white cloth (and popped-up one of his arms) and I embossed the witches dress with the swirl embossing folder.  Of course, none of this shows up in the photo - buts its there. OH...and I guess in the empty space here is for journaling...I guess I took the picture too soon - oops.

All of this was done with my stash.  I'm still working on trying to get more interesting layouts...one day, I'll get better...I hope.

Thanks for looking!

Scrapbook Layout - 2009 Gruesome

I may order my scrapbook in chronological order, but I don't make the layouts chronological.  I hate putting my pages into the album before I'm done the layouts because it never fails...I need to put a 2-page layout at the 1/4 mark, or 1/2 through ... or any place other than the start or end - SO I typically hold off on filing them until I'm pretty sure I have the front 1/2 or last 1/2 done and THEN in they go.

Anyway, this is 2009 Halloween at our house.  GJA and I dressed up while PJ was having his nap.  We thought he'd be scared of GJA's mask, but he didn't seem to notice.  He didn't, however, want to wear HIS costume and as is the case every year, we have a crying fight and I can usually get it on him long enough for a few photos but that's it.

The cartridge used is Happy Hauntings - its quite a nice cartridge - lots of phrases, images and 2 fonts!  I kind of which the font used for "Gruesome" and "Boo" were made into fonts (rather than just a few phrases) because its beautiful!

Scrapbook Layout - 2008 Happy Halloween

Here's a Halloween page, which includes photos from  a Halloween party and Halloween night.

As is usual, PJ didn't want to put on his costume, but once it was on, he was ok.  He seemed to enjoy my witches hat the most - wish I could get a hat on him when he needs it (like when its sunny or snowing!)

The title was from Happy Hauntings cartridge and the little monsters were from Paper Doll Dress-up cartridge.  I used peachy keen stamps for the faces, but my dolls were a wee bit too small for them...oh well, live and learn.  I really enjoyed making the little monsters with their cute costumes.
