My little brother (ha, he's in his 40's and is 6'2") qualified to be a member of the Team Canada's triathlon team for this year - the championship is in New Zealand in October - so cool!
He qualified based on some races and his age (they send "others" based on age groups - there's a techinical term for it...but I don't remember). He's pumped, but now has to get the $ to get over there...and while there...he might as well tour some of Australia too!
He just received his uniforms - so cool!

I sure wish we could go - his Ironman run was such a great experience to watch!

Wow! That is so cool. Congrats to him!
ReplyDeleteAnd nice buns too! hahaha.
Thanks, Nadia! I sure wish we could go along, its such a rush to see them coming across the finish line!
ReplyDeleteI don't know where those nice BUNS come from - he's the only athletic one in the family!
Congrats to your brother!! Go, Canada!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie! We're all pretty pumped!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! Fantastic achievement for him and it's clear you are very proud (as you should be).
ReplyDeleteThanks - its so cool for a couch potatoe family to have an athlete amongst us. We all feel really fat and unhealthy around him though....he'll be around for Christmas at -30C and he's out for a run...while we're not running or jogging or walking....regardless of the temperature.
