During the broadcast of the wedding, everyone was speculating where they would go on their honeymoon. Reporters knew that it was a tropical location because Kate was seen purchasing sun dresses and bikinis. Some thought they would go somewhere in Africa and others thought Jordan.
The morning after the wedding (April 30), it was announced that the couple would NOT be going on their honeymoon until mid-May. They would take a couple of days and go to some hideaway in England and then William would go back to work on Monday. Word was that where they wanted to go was too dangerous and they were asked to postpone their plans. This made everyone think they were going to Jordan.
Then, on the evening of May 1, everyone learned that the USA had found, attacked and killed Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan and it became very clear what happened to the honeymoon.
