Hmm...I need a way to have my embellishments out so that I remember to use them...but I don't have room...hmmm.

She starts with - how do you want to organize them - color or type? I think I'm both - I want each type organized by color...but maybe I AM more of a color person...hmmm....I'll have to think about that because I currently have them by type then color....maybe that's why I'm not using them that much? Wait...I actually have them by color (except buttons - which are so plentiful, that they are together because there isn't room in each "color" box to include the amount of buttons of that color. GEE...I better go and look how I have them - when I bought all the white photo boxes, I filled them up with embellishments...so I better check it out - and label the boxes - I can see that there are 4-5 white boxes that have no label - bad girl!
She has a ton of links of embellishment storage ideas. Every and any kind of embellishments you can imagine, she has organized and the photos indicate that she might as well open a LSS in her house!
Embelishments have always been a pain for me. One of my best purchases a few years ago was a clip it ip from Simply Renee. I can now see all my rub-ons, stickers, die cuts and whatever else I might have clipped on to just by looking. Before I had them all in the binders and lets just say they were never seeing the light of day.
ReplyDeleteAnother great find I love are these Art Bin bags that I got filled with their Prism containers. I got them at Micheals in the clearence section for 75% off...I bought them all. It seems that Art Bin still sells both items just a bit different then what I bought.
The only bag and container sysytem I can find on their site is their Mega Tote and the containers are no longer clear but a translucent color (purple/pink/teal). They still have the Prism cases in all shapes and compartment break ups. I love them for the fact that they are clear, I can see everything in them, you can stack them up and they transport easily and they are all labeled.
It looks like you are well underway to a very organized scraproom, because of these postings, I have made chages and it is all coming together nicely.
Thankfully I don't have any rub-ons and very few stickers. They all fit nicely in a medium pizza box.
