Royal Visit - July 4, 2011 - Prince Edward Island

I think they had a fantastic time this day - so many different activities and not many of them were formal.
They did have to ride in another carriage though.

OK...so...are those spanks?  What does this skinny girl need spanks for?!

In the morning she had on what looked like a 2-piece knitted dress - very cute - and you have to be pretty skinny to pull off the extra bulk in a knitted garment.

William got some training on landing a helicopter in the water.

Then down to the water for lunch

No trip to PEI is complete until you see Anne of Green Gables

Then they participated in a dragon boat race.  Apparently William's boat won.  A scene I saw on the news last night was just after the race, Kate moved over to him and pretended that she was going to push him in the water.

Sadly, they had to leave this happy place to go to Yellowknife.  From lush, rolling hills and beautiful ocean to flat tundra.

OH...another funny thing was that at some point during the day there was local dancers and singers etc (maybe during lunch?)...anyway, one of the singers started talking about how wonderful it was to be in the presence of the "DOOTCH".  The audience roared with laughter, as did William and Kate.
