.....spent so much time outside in one day, until yesterday. Back in 2007, we had our family reunion in Meota SK....& it was 33C & we were thankful for the large trees we could hide under. The hotel we were at didn't have a/c....so we had a hard time sleeping - we had 2 fans going in our room, but it made very little difference.
This outdoor adventure happened yesterday & it was around 13C. GJA, PJ & I spent a wonderful day over at the Lloyd's acerage. There was lots of fun things for the kids to play with & run around doing. The swing/slide set was a big hit, as was the trampoline! I especially enjoyed having time to chat with my friends rather than spending the entire visit chasing PJ around. GJA got to have a wee taste of minding PJ for a change. I sure wish that PJ would stay close to us & play nicely in the space with the other kids rather than trying to run away all the time. PJ also had fun following the cats around.
Another amazing thing was all the food there was to eat for lunch. Everyone brought such wonderful food - YUM-O-RAMA! After lunch, they brought out Nero - their horse. All the kids had a ride on the horse (well, except PJ...who didn't give a hoot that there was a horse...he just wanted to do his own thing...as always). We did get him to touch the horse though, so that was good.
PJ didn't get to have an afternoon nap, so he was on-edge until we got him to bed after supper. He fell asleep immediately - which didn't suprise me too much considering he didn't have a nap, & had a ton of fresh air & ran around for such a long time.
He didn't, however, sleep in....darn...so I must dash & get him up.
